So, I just bought an Android phone, and I'm looking for good apps that I can't get on my iPod touch. Anybody know of any diamonds in the oh so very rough? Was thinking about Zenonia, as it seems to be low in price compared to what others are saying, but can't see a lot else. Any help would be lovely, and guarantees a pack of biscuits, available for collection in Falkirk.
Any Android Recommendations?

Dude, I totally misread your post, and thought you got and Android iPhone! Lol!
How bout an (cough cough) emulator? To play your (legal) backups?

I have no idea what you're talking about, or what that is, or where I am. Good day to you, SIR.
But in seriousness, looking for cool games, or even just cool apps, to mess about with and feel like a Future Person using my Future Phone from the Future with.

Well there is the Google Plus application which is nice. For podacasts you'll want beyondpod. Google Goggles is great. The Wolfram Alpha app is useful. Swiftkey keyboard is very slick.
I personally am running the Cyanogenmod ROM rather than the stock HTC arse.

Thanks man, I'll check all of those out. Wolfram Alpha in particular excites me as a thing way more than something like that ever should.

Imaginary range on iOS is cool. You said you have an android and an iOS.
My contract runs out in December and as it gets closer my firm resolution in upgrading to iPhone 5 is less and less secure. Is it worth getting an Android for two years? My 3GS is quickly being left behind in apps, puzzle agent two being the primmest example; stuttering and skipping entirely unlike the first and soon it will be locked out of upgrades, technically already 3 months past it's life span so the likelihood of the 3GS still being useful as a platform gateway is slim.
I much prefer tech that works consistently to tech that is malleable. But I love awesome things too. Hard choices.

ANGRY BIRDSZ, LULZ
I have a couple of games that are alright. GalaxIR is a weird planet-space fighting thing, you have a number of ships and your goal is to destroy the other (AI controlled) players' planets with your limited number of ships (you regain one per planet per second, so controlling more planets is advantageous). (free)
I've also played about five minutes of Cyberlords: Arcology which is pretty interesting. It's a top-down action RPG, kind of oldschool feeling. There's a free version, but if you have a smaller screen on your phone the ad takes up about half of the screen. I think the full version is $3.99 US.
I haven't been able to find many games that don't require Tegra 2 or whatever fancy graphics chip that look interesting. I figured once the next generation chip came out I'd get one of the tegra 2 phones for cheap.

The latest Humble Indie Bundle had some great games. I've only played the block one and Anomaly — which is like a reverse tower defense game (you control the units going through the gauntlet rather than building the towers), it it's pretty cool so far.
