I'm having a bunch of fun in saints row right now. Although, I'm doing all the side missions so I'm worried about burning out.
I really enjoyed Bastion. and Skyrim.
And TOR.
Skyrim has to top my list, but Battlefield 3 has been a lot of fun as well.
And then for a few games that I enjoyed in 2011 but actually came out earlier, I got Super Meat Boy back at the beginning of the year and played the shit out of it during the spring. I ran back through Mass Effect 1 a few times over the summer and played some Oblivion in preparation for Skyrim's release. And Football Manager. So much Football Manager.
Were there any good XBLA games that came out this year (that weren't Bastion)? I got a 1600 point card for Christmas and I have no idea what to spend it on.

Ah, but as for other stuff I enjoyed, gimme about a week and I might be ready to talk about that properly. But I would say it's been an amazing year. I mean, just for example, whether or not you're a fan of Gears of War (which I am, slightly) or Uncharted (which I like, but don't love) these were huge games this year which did very well critically and were doubtless very well made, and yet some top ten lists are still failing to find space for them amid everything else that was great. Or to put it another way, I only just got -round- to Gears of War 3 last night because there was so much stuff last year. Uncharted 3... I may get around to, someday. I'd like to, I really would.

Are you sure torchlight came out this year? Also, I spoofed ilomilo to buy it earlier than usual thanks to their weird code promotion for the demo.
Trine 2 is a bit disappointing, especially on console, but it's not that hot on PC either imho.
Stacking was really cool, if long winded, half minute heor is cool but repeats itself too much, especially with that stupid credits sequence and opening... ugh!
I thought last year was a bit luke-warm in terms of XBLA, but that's my own personal opinion.

I was certain that was a late 2010 release but that was pretty cool. Got a bit boring, grinding for the superstar achievement but I had a laugh with it and it helped me through the horrible month of May so points for Torchlight!
Oh, it was definitely not an incredible XBLA year, jus' saying there's lots of good stuff in there.
Yeah that's why I had to ask, I just could not remember hearing about that many games coming out that really interested me on XBLA.
