Alright so it's not strictly gaming related, and I haven't explored everything, but here's my impression thus far:
1. Holy handgrenade it loads quickly - Startup and shutdown times are much better. It seems there's less to load and unload so it's a smooth experience
2. It's pretty - The tiles interface remind you of Apple products, in that there are shiny icons waiting to be tapped. I also love the ability to quickly switch apps, shut them down, view status updates, and shuffle the interface around
3. The old desktop is still there if you miss the Windows 7 feel. I like how it's slightly better but not overwhelmingly new
4. Installing is a breeze - But note there is a terrible flaw when trying to upgrade with multiple partitions. It just fails at install, so you gotta dual boot or fresh install. Once that's done it's simple with few restarts
5. It's cheap - For now it's about £40 for the Pro version and it's selling fast. At that price it's probably the cheapest OS I've seen here.
6. Things work- All the drivers were found for my 3 year old laptop and peripherals
However a few games report slightly lower framerates, if you care, at higher resolutions which is driver related and Nvidia promise a patch soon. League of legends works well though.
